Attend class without leaving your desk! Instructor Allen Podell will be presenting a live real-time webinar April 16-20 on RF Fundamentals. This course is basically the equivalent of one full day's worth of material spread out over five 90-minute sessions (Monday through Friday). Instead of traveling to the course location, you just log in from any computer with a high-speed internet connection at the time that the course starts (9AM Pacific Time). Now you can learn about RF, ask questions, view CAE examples on the instructor's computer, all with a minimal interruption in your daily schedule.
Join Besser Associates (booth #1006) at the 50th International Microwave Symposium to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii this June 3-8. Be sure to trade in your coat and tie for some aloha wear and enjoy the show! You can shop right at the show and receive 20% off Hilo Hatties gear in the Hawaiian Hut located in the Hawaii Convention Center lobby.
EMC and Signal Integrity Design Strategies provides participants with the theory and practical know-how required to design and test well behaved and EMC compliant circuits and systems. The selection and application of magnetic and capacitive control components will be explained. Classic grounding, shielding, connectorization, and transmission line approaches for high speed and wide bandwidth signals will be covered in depth. Time domain and frequency domain characterization of wiring and cabling will be taught with live demonstrations. Analog, RF, digital, and mixed signal applications will be explored from a unified viewpoint to enable analog and digital engineers to work in new territory. An optional instrumentation and measurement workshop is offered as a fourth day for those who want a more complete understanding of EMC and SI methods. The course is offered in San Jose, CA this August 13-15.
Our new course, Mobile Broadband Wireless Access, provides a review of the system architectures, principles involved, and techniques applied in mobile WiMAX, EV-DO, and HSDPA/HSUPA mobile broadband access (MBWA) systems. The typical types of packet switched data conveyed by such systems are studied. Key enabling technologies are presented including: relevant digital modulation techniques, error detection/correction methods, and multiple access and NLOS techniques employed in Point-to Multipoint (PMP) systems. The non-line-of-sight (NLOS) mobile wireless fading path is reviewed. Key physical layer and MAC features of the relevant standards are presented. Finally, the key parameters and performance of the three systems are compared. The course is offered in San Jose, CA this August 15-17.
Our courses in the Boston Metropolitan Area take place in Burlington, north of downtown. The location features a hotel located across the street from the classrooms. The local transit system also offers a bus that stops in front of the hotel and travels directly to downtown attractions. Boston is a great location for sightseeing and by using the subway system, it's very easy to travel and explore on foot. If you have more than one person attending the course, you can consider sharing a two-bedroom suite from the hotel in order to reduce your accommodation costs.
