Next Free Webcast: Semiconductor Devices for RF/uW Design
The 2007/2008 Webinar series from Microwave Journal and Besser Associates continues this month with a tutorial on Semiconductor Devices for RF/uW Design. Instructor Bob Froelich will present the upcoming FREE webcast on November 20 , 2007. This 45 minute presentation is designed to provide design engineers with an overview of the structure and operation of HBTs and HFETs and how these affect performance issues such as frequency range, noise figure and phase noise. Next Webinar: EM Shielding Fundamentals
The next webinar series, EM Shielding Fundamentals, will be presented by Allen Podell this November 26-30. Learn about techniques for EMC, coupling and radiation, shielding, and grounding - without leaving your desk! The webinars are offered as five, 90-minute live web-conference sessions where you can ask questions and view CAD examples from the instructor's computer. Just log-in from your computer with a high speed internet connection and speakers or headphones. The amount of material covered is roughly equivalent to a one-day classroom course.
New Course on EMI/EMC
EMC is straightforward although it can be non-intuitive. Our new two-day seminar, EMI/EMC Fundamentals with Emphasis on Successful Shielding Strategies, eliminates the bewilderment by explaining and quantifying EMC coupling mechanisms so that designers can understand, anticipate and resolve EMC problems prior to product design. Proper design techniques are discussed for minimizing unwanted coupling and crosstalk at the PCB level, thus achieving RF isolation levels in excess of 150 dB. Instructor Orin E. Laney presents the course this December 3-4 in San Jose, California.
