Next Course in the Web Classroom: RF Fundamentals

Take your next class online - class starts soon! Equivalent to a full day seminar, our web classroom courses consist of five 90-minute live sessions offered via web conference. Simply join the conference each day at the start of the class from wherever you are. Similar to a live course, these seminars feature a small audience (10-20 students) where you can interact with the instructor and ask questions at any time. You will receive a PDF copy of the course manual so that you can print it out and take notes as the course progresses. Corporate exclusive courses are available for a variety of subjects and are a great way to train groups that are spread out across the continent or around the world. Our next public course in the web classroom, RF Fundamentals, will be presented June 23-27, 2008 by Les Besser. Just log-in to the class from your computer each day with a high speed internet connection and speakers or headphones - no travel required!

New Course on Wireless Audio

Our new 3-day course, Digital Wireless Audio Systems: Technology and Solutions, provides attendees with a comprehensive introduction to digital wireless audio systems used for music and/or voice applications. The course will present an overview of existing wireless audio technology and discuss the advantages of using RF versus IR and the benefits of digital modulation versus older analog systems. Emphasis will be on the RF and PHY/MAC layer technologies although there will be time devoted to overall performance requirements and discussion of existing commercial solutions.

Instructor Steve Moore has over twenty-five years experience working for many of the industries top RF/Wireless companies. After many years as a design engineer working on microwave circuits (and subsystems) for Watkins-Johnson Company he transitioned to the commercial wireless industry and was an engineering manager for Wireless Access developing 2-way pagers and then an applications manger for SiRF Technology supporting customers working on GPS products. After that he worked for a Bluetooth startup company and then took over the Product Line Management role for WiFi products at Symbol Technologies. Most recently he was the VP of Sales and Applications for Micro Linear Corporation selling/supporting consumer wireless ICs for radio applications such as audio, video, and control.

This course will be offered August 11-13 in San Jose, CA and November 19-21 in Dallas, TX.
